On the second day of the North American Poker Championship 169 players sat down to play their first day. Permanent Cash Poker Room in China
The only spot where gambling is legal in China is growing with poker in a big way, and recently the announcement went out that Macau is going to have its very first permanent cash poker room. The Diamond Casino in the Holiday Inn, in partnership with the PokerDome Group, will open up with eight tables to get things started, but plans are already underway to build a new floor in the Diamond Casino, where as many as 30 more poker tables will be laid out. No limit Holdem and pot limit games are on tap, and potentially other popular poker games will be included, such as Omaha and Stud.
